With this product, the ball is much sturdier and the "channels" that it travels in can be configured into a circle, a long wave-type design, and several other configurations. If you buy two sets, you can make a figure-8. Just be sure when you're un-snapping the pieces to turn the unit upside down so you can see which way to depress the snap-locks. When it's in the budget, I plan on buying the additional pieces from this manufacturer.

The one thing that is different from this bone and the the other ones I've gotten is the shape. This wishbone shape allows the dogs to more easily hold on to it while they gnaw away. It seems to keep them interested.
